Tasio open studio – Les Femmes Fatales

With Les Femmes Fatales, presented for the first time on the occasion of Tasio Open Studio, the artist opens his creative space to the public during Rome Art Week 2025 to unveil a series of recent works dedicated to the female figure as archetype, energy, and metamorphic presence. These paintings are distinguished by a clear and dynamic visual syntax: faceless female figures enveloped in pure fields of color, where geometry becomes a symbolic language. The body’s structure is deconstructed into polygonal modules and saturated hues — green, red, ochre, blue — evoking an almost liturgical dimension.

The synthetic forms and hieratic frontality recall an archaic kind of figuration, yet reinterpreted through a distinctly contemporary visual code, where abstraction and figuration coexist as two vital principles in tension. The works establish an organic dialogue with the space that hosts them, Vivai Mari, where the female bodies mirror themselves in the vitality of the surrounding plants and flowers. Like nature itself, the female figure becomes a symbol of fertility, regeneration, and cyclicality, sharing with the vegetal world a structure that, through recomposition, generates the fruit — analogous to the human female reproductive system that gives birth to life.

Within this analogy lies Tasio’s reflection: he restores to woman her original status as a creative force and a matrix of transformation.

Tasio thus transforms woman into a blooming presence — not as ornament, but elevating her to a generative being, bearer of beauty, luminous silence, inner fragrance, and a form that is delicate yet powerful.
